The office of the Controller of Examinations was established after the conferment of autonomous status to the college in 2005. The Controller of Examinations is appointed by the Principal with the consent of the Executive Committee as per the UGC specifications. He has his own Deputy Controllers of Examination and other staff to assist him in conducting the examinations and publishing the results in time. The Examination Cell is fully computerized and performs the following functions.

  1. Preparation of Courses of Study
  2. Conduct of Mid Semester and End Semester Examinations
  3. Publication of Results
  4. Issue of Grade Certificates/Statement of Marks and Provisional Certificates

The COE office is sensitized to the just demands of the students, and holds their welfare in top priority.

Conduct of Term End Examinations, valuation of answer scripts and publication of results are all an important and integral part of college autonomy. The marks of the Mid Semester (M.S) are submitted to this office by all departments just before the commencement of the End Semester Examinations. The consolidated marks of both the Mid Semester component and the End Semester Examinations (E.S) are declared every year. Inquiries regarding Mid Semester are to be made with the respective Departments and End Semester Examinations (E.S) with Controller’s Office. The Examination answer paper (Theory & Practical) will be preserved for 5 years only from the date of commencement of the Examinations (as per the Berhampur University).

In the interest of the smooth running of all the processes of the COE office, which are vital to the proper functioning of the college, the COE has compiled a booklet– “Regulation/Examination Manual” in which all the rules, regulations and procedures have been exhaustively laid out, which could serve as a useful ready- reckoner for each department and help to clear doubts that may arise.
