Evaluation Pattern in Brief

  1. The students of UG and PG classes will appear Term End Examination during each academic session.
  2. The students of UG shall appear two internal assessment tests in each subject during the session. The tests carry 20% weightage in non practical subject and 15% weightage in practical subject of the total marks in theory. Better of the two shall be taken into award.
  3. There will be no internal assessment for practical.
  4. The minimum pass mark for a subject where there is no practical examination is 30% of the maximum marks of that subject.
  5. The minimum pass mark for each practical paper of a subject is 40% of the maximum marks of that paper.
  6. The minimum pass mark for aggregate is not less than 36% of the maximum marks of all the subjects (Hons & non-Hons papers taken together).
  7. A candidate who secures 50% of marks or more in aggregate of all non- Honours papers taken together in the first regular chance shall be declared to have passed with Distinction.
  8. If a candidate fails to retain Honours, he/she shall be awarded “Distinction” if he/she secures 50% of marks in aggregate of all papers (both Honours and non Honours) taken together.  No’ Distinction’ will be awarded if the candidate passes having availed himself of the benefit of Year Back Examination in non-Honours papers.
